Well, I try to write this review of the hole concert of Imola but it is not easy for me because I am still too shoked.
FIRST PART
The concert was the 20th June and took place at the HEINEKEN JAMMING FESTIVAL in Imola, Italy (where took place the F1 race). Imola is 6 hours far from the city where I live so I left in the morning and arrived in Imola at 2 p.m.
I am a huge HOLE fan and I am REALLY in love with Courtney, this was the first time that I was able to catch them live and to see Courtney so, if you are a real fan you can understand my feelings (I know that it is probably not normal for a 21 years old guy to be like that, but as I have already said I am really in love with Courtney).
The crowd was huge (60.000 people) but most of them were there for Marilyn Manson (too bad), in fact here in Italy there are not many hole fans. The concerts started at 3 p.m. (HOLE were scheduled to play at 7 p.m.), the first band to play was an Italian grunge band called VERDENA, then played Siouxie with her band THE CREATURES (nice concert).
During this concerts I started to reach a good spot to see hole (it wasn't easy).
The third band to play were another Italian band called BLUVERTIGO (this concert really sucks).
After this concert I started to become really nervous couldn't wait to see the goddess, but i had to wait another hour.
PLACEBO, that were schedule to play before HOLE, were very late. 45 min. late they came onstage and Brian Molko said "I sorry for the late but Marilyn Manson was sucking my cock in the backstage, God is mouth is great!".
PLACEBO did a great show but I didn't enjoy it because after them were schedule HOLE and I couldn't wait to see Courtney
SECOND PART
The first to came out was Sam; she wore a blue T-shirt and a pair of black jeans, the second one was to came out was Eric, he wore a pair of jeans a blue T-shirt and a black jacket that he soon took off). Then arrived the beautiful Melissa (she is not as skinny as she looks in the videos), she wore a pair of red boots, black short shorts and a white T-shirt that said " I LOVE ITALY ".
After a minute or so that they were onstage Courtney arrived! She is so beautiful with her new haircut; she wore a the Malibu's gown and a pair of white shoes.
They opened with VIOLET, but they played it in slower version, after this during a break before AWFUL, Melissa very swetly said "ITALIA, PASTA, SESSO, MUSICA" in Italian ( it means Italy, pasta, sex and music). During Awful went offstage and started to touch everyone's hand of the first row, damn I couldn't touch her, then she came back onstage pulled by security guys (we all know she wore white panties).
At the hand of the song Courtney screamed "hey, italians, I wanna fuck with everyone here, you are a great audience". Not many understand English here in Italy because the anserw was not so hot. In fact after HEAVEN TONIGHT (that follows PRETTY ON THE INSIDE), she wanted that we sang something for her, none started to sang so she said "Come on sing Italian anthem for me" but just me and a few other guys started to sing so left the stage and came in an Italian promoter that said to everyone in Italian that the concert was finished if didn't sing the Italian anthem. Everyone started to sing now, I was quite worried cause there was a lot of Marylin Manson fans and I though that they wouldn't do that. In fact they weren't so nice with Courtney but fortunately she doesn't understand a word of Italian. Anyway after this the show went on and they played MISS WORLD. During Miss World in a moment of calm I screamed as loud as I could "COURTNEY" and raised my arms to be noticed and.....oh my god, she looked at me, smiled and waved me. It was fantastic.
The next song they played was MALIBU, it was quite a long version, and then Doll Parts.
After these Melissa (and Sam I think) left, Courtney and Eric played a fantastic version of NORTHERN STAR, it was really great, and Courtney almost stagedives.
The last one was, of course, CELEBRITY SKIN. At the of the concert she gave a guitar to a girl and kissed her.
Maybe you are courios about the fact that Marilyn Manson and Hole were in the same concert for the first time after the infamous BEAUTIFUL MONSTER TOUR. Well, between the two bands played Blur so they didn't met. During the Hole concert Courtney saw some guys wearing Marilyn Manson T-shirts and said "hey you stupid Marilyn Manson fan, get out of my stage, you are just 6 assholes and here I have 60.000 fan screaming just for me." Well, if I have to be honest Courtney was wrong, I think that we were just 6 hole fans and the rest of the crowd was there for Marylin Manson, Blur and Placebo. As I have already said a great part of the crowd was very rude with her. Anyway this was I great show, Courtney was in a good mood and this is an important thing for the hole concerts.
It has been my first hole concert but I hope not the last one (please Courtney come back!!!!!!!!)!
And now starts the best part of the story (at least for me).
THIRD PART
The concert was over and I was very excited. I couldn't stand here to listen to Blur so I left the concert (it wasn't so easy!) and I decided to leave the concert area. I was walking looking for an Hole t-shirt but those fucking stands only has Marilyn Manson, Blur and Placebo ones. I was quite angry so I Kept walking and arrived in placed where there was just a few people ( 6 or 7 girls), at one moment a girl screamed "COURTNEY", so I turned my head and I saw that in a backstage area there was a stair and I saw a blonde head on the second floor but I couldn't see if it belongs to Courtney. There was no security guys so we ran into this area and when we arrived near the stairs..... Oh my god my heart almost stopped ..... I couldn't believe this, Courtney was there and now she went downstairs so she was right in front of me.
She is so beautiful, she was wearing a yellow gown with flowers on it and a blue cardigans, she had no makeup and I was not surprised to see that she looks great without makeup. She was very kind, she told to her bodyguard that everything was ok and told us not to scream because if arrived other people she had to leave. She talked with about five minutes (the most beautiful of my life), I gave a present to her, she looked at me with those incredible eyes, smiled, took it, shook my hand and said "thank you " in a so sweet way that I will never forget these words. Then a gave to her a piece of paper and she signed an autograph, after this she said that she had to go, we all started to scream "I love you" so she said "ssssssssssssssssssssssss, don't scream I love you too", and then she said goodbye to everyone and left. Before she had gone my sister gave a kiss to her.
Wwwwwwoooooowwwwww it was great I am an Hole fan since 1995 and i really love Courtney. This was the best day of my life. I hope you enjoy my review
