Courtney in previous Rolling Stone
Here is the pic of Courtney in her Golden Globes dress in the March 2 issue of Rolling Stone (with Leonardo DiCaprio on the cover). It appears in Anthony Bozza's Random Notes section which features several female celebrities showing their skin at this year's early award shows. Bozza writes:
"It was the same deal over at the Golden Globes - did you think the members of the Hollywood Foreign Press chose that name randomly? Courtney Love was a train wreck - and we mean that in the worst possible way - during her presentation of the award for Best Song. After warbling her choice for the award - R.E.M.'s unnominated "The Great Beyond" - she nearly refused to give Phil Collins his Globe."

You came from somewhere out in the sticks To become the modern Stevie Nicks
Back in the days of punk rock yore, there was a Sex Pistols-type band from Santa Barbara called the Rotters. They really sounded like the Pistols, complete with simulated British accents and everything. Their greatest hit was a song called, "Sit On My Face, Stevie Nicks" It was a love song, and managed to be both tender and disgustingly offensive at the same time. This classic was the inspiration for "Courtney."
Courtney Love is such a nice sounding name. It's surprising there aren't more songs about her.

Melissa to return to Canada's Edgefest?
The Internet has been buzzing about Nine Inch Nails and The Smashing Pumpkins to co-headline Canada's annual cross-country Edgefest this summer. This would mean that we get to see Melissa on the Edgefest tour for the second year in a row, since Hole played the tour last summer.
Meanwhile, you can find Melissa and the Pumpkins in various magazines, such as the new Guitar World with James Iha and Billy Corgan on the cover.
