REQUEST HOLE ON MUCHMUSIC ON DEMAND / MTV TOTAL REQUEST LIVE / TRIPLE J NET 50 | MTV LATIN AMERICA |
Sorry for killing you...Yes, WE ARE BACK after changing computers and getting a cable modem. Still adjusting to making pages in Internet Explorer 5 (and still liking 3 better). Thanks for your e-mails! Well, just to catch up on what's been happening... Hole are being sued by Geffen over their contract. Hole had earlier decided to break up with them. Hole's Bob Dylan cover "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" will appear on the Crow 3 Salvation soundtrack out March 28. This track was also made available on the Malibu EP. Meanwhile, "Malibu" has also earned Hole a Grammy nomination in the Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal category. Hole is up against Santana, Garbage, Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Goo Goo Dolls. The Grammys air February 23rd. Courtney went down to Sundance to promote her starring role in the indie flick "Beat" which is getting great reviews. Ms. Love also made headlines when she got angry at a photographer. Courtney also attended the Golden Globes in a Galiano dress which was both the most loved and hated dress of the night. Courtney presented Best Original Song and began singing R.E.M.'s "The Great Beyond" on stage since it wasn't nominated. Michael Stipe also attended and went to the afterparties with Courtney. Jim Carrey won Best Male Actor in a drama for "Man on the Moon" in which he thanked Courtney and commented that when she leaves the room, there is a personality vaccuum. Parts of Courtney's interview with Howard Stern aired on Stern's Saturday night television show. They had Courtney giving Stern-regular Gary the Retard some money to get a hair cut backstage, as well as Courtney singing that song to Dave Grohl about Kurt Cobain hating him. We should have video stills of the Globes and the Stern appearance soon, as well as from the "Be A Man" video which is airing on most music stations (though not regularly enough!). Eric recently participated in the monthly glam-rock party Makeup where he modelled clothing with Twiggy Ramirez from Marilyn Manson. This took place last Saturday at the El Ray Theatre in L.A. Courtney appears in the latest issue of Rolling Stone (with Leonardo DiCaprio on the cover) in her Golden Globes dress. And in Melissa Auf der Maur news, the Pumpkins are doing their record stores tour in the U.S. and high-quality mp3s from the Smashing Pumpkins' album "MACHINA/the machines of God" have been leaked on the internet (it's great!). You can see Melissa in the new "Everlasting Gaze" video and the Pumpkins have just finished shooting the next video for "Stand Inside Your Love." Melissa can also be seen in the promotional pictures the band is using (one appears in the March Spin review of the album). The Pumpkins were also on the cover of Kerrang with a really large pic of Melissa. |
